# Loader

The loader is the snippet you give people to run your script. It checks access before handing over the selected payload.

```lua
script_key="PASTE-YOUR-KEY-HERE";
loadstring(game:HttpGet("https://vampauth.com/v1/loaders/YOUR-LOADER-HASH.lua"))()
```

Copy the real URL from your dashboard. Keep the key assignment before the loadstring line. The loader consumes the input and clears `script_key`; don't use it later as your own application variable.

## Publish a script

Add your script from the dashboard and connect it to a project. The input must be nonblank UTF-8; uploads accept .lua or .txt. The application transport limit is 8 MiB, and the publishing provider's limits also apply.

Your original input is not retained. Stored content is protected output. To replace or rebuild a script, supply the original source again. A failed publish leaves the current output active.

## What happens on a keyed run

1. The snippet downloads the bootstrap.
2. The bootstrap sends the key and device identity to Vampauth.
3. The server checks the project, key state, expiry, hardware ban/binding, and applicable session policy.
4. On success it selects the payload and issues a signed download link lasting about 60 seconds.
5. The loader downloads and runs that payload with a read-only `VAMPAUTH` context.

Don't share the temporary download link as your loader URL. A key group or project default can route the run to a different payload.

## Names and URL rotation

The technical alias uses lowercase letters, digits, underscores and hyphens, starts with a letter/digit, and is 1–50 characters. The optional display name can contain normal spaces, Unicode and punctuation, up to 80 Unicode code points. Renaming only the display name doesn't publish new content or spend a publishing credit.

Rotating a URL changes the bootstrap/delivery link and keeps the existing protected payload. Share the new snippet afterward. Discord panels track a stable loader ID and resolve its current URL automatically.

A deleted, disconnected, disabled, or rotated loader may return `loader_not_found`. Check its current dashboard link before resetting anyone's key.

## Compatibility

The loader checks required executor features, including HTTP requests, script execution/environment support, JSON decoding, bit operations, and local file functions used for device identity. An unsupported executor reports `executor_unsupported`. Switching to the retired Lua client doesn't fix compatibility.

For a non-Luau app, use standalone signed key checks from your backend instead.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://vampauth.gitbook.io/vampauth-docs/development/loader.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
